Maya Bank’s ‘Colter’s Woman’ was the first erotica story I ever read, so I have a bit of a soft spot for it. But before Lily and the brothers can forge a future together, they must heal the deep wounds of her past. The problem is, when his brothers lay eyes on her, the same primitive instinct comes roaring to the surface. I will be reading the next book, Colter’s Daughter.When police officer Seth Colter sees the delicate, shabbily dressed beauty in line at the soup kitchen where he's serving, he's gut shot over the idea of her being on the streets cold and alone. He knows when to add the right amount of emotion during the scene to pull you further into the book. Jeffery does a great job with the voices during this book. I think she is a much stronger person at the end of the book. I was content with the ending of the book and the personal growth of Lilly by the end. The Colter men in book struggled with their emotions for Lilly more than the men in the first book. I can do believe that the sex scenes in this book were a lot tender and emotional than the first book. So keeping that in mind, I enjoyed listening to this book. But then again, we read books (or listen to them) to get lost within a world not of our own.
I still can’t grasp the idea of three men sharing the same woman, without jealousy or bickering and everything just comes together as normal.
Which is why I read book one and book two of the Colter Legacy. I am a huge fan of Maya Banks Highlanders’ series. When I read the first book of this series, I was thinking to myself that this story is quite unbelievable.
